Body of Work 2 13th November 2019
Weather- cloudy with sunny periods
I repeated the linear ex-colliery railway line walk carrying the previously collected 30 pieces of rubbish. I set up a washing line between two trees on the old mine site. I repositioned it after surveying it through the camera. I pegged 15 pieces of rubbish onto the line as they came out of the bag, spacing evenly, not worrying too much about type or colour.

The set up.

Taking shape
Last burst of afternoon sun.
Re-working the previous rubbish circle
I think the re-worked image works better because the landscape is more interesting and the lighting is better. I think the rubbish needs sunlight to give to a new lease of light - maybe its a metaphor for re-contextualising it and giving it a renewed energy. I'm wondering if finding interesting shapes in the land and following the shape of the rubbish might work.
